Brien Davis, FNP - Owner.  Brien completed his Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 1985 and his Master's Degree from the Husson College Family and Community Nurse Practitioner Program in 1998.

Brien has over 20 years experience in Emergency Medicine, Family Practice and Occupational Health. He likes to combine standard medical practices and alternative health treatments. He says "It's all good; you just need to know when to use what. More often than not, some of each is better than either alone."

Brien has over 500 hours of training in Natural Healthcare, focusing on Craniosacral Therapy, Manipulative Medicine and Homeopathy. He uses hands-on treatments to treat neck, back and extremity pain.

Brien believes health care happens best, when the health care provider listens carefully and provides detailed information about the diagnosed illness. From there, the patient can choose the course of treatment, be it an herb, a pharmaceutical or a lifestyle change.

Brien is nationally certified as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) through the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC). The ANCC is a national nursing credentialing and certifying organization responsible for maintaining a national standard for Nurse Practitioners.

Other tidbits: Brien owns Hope Orchards. He spent his first year as a Nurse Practitioner at a mission hospital in Kenya. He's from "away", but has lived in Maine for the past 27 years. He's married and has two sons.

Meredith Bruskin, FNP - Provider.  Meredith is happy to be joining Hope Health, and brings with her 31 years of nursing experience, the last 10 years as a Family Nurse Practitioner.  Meredith received her Bachelor’s degree from Wheaton College in 1969, and then changed her career course to become an RN in 1978. After working at Boston City Hospital, she happily relocated to Maine in 1981 and worked at St Joseph’s Hospital and Eastern Maine Medical Center in Bangor, 10 years of which were spent in the Emergency Department. She received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 1995, and her Master’s Degree in Nursing from the University of Maine at Orono, in 1999.

Meredith has been working for the past 10 years for the Penobscot Nation Health Department. Her practice has involved a focus on women’s health as well as internal medicine—especially diabetes and cardiac disease. She believes that preventive health is key to living healthy lives, and feels privileged to partner with patients to achieve the best possible outcome for whatever challenges they face. Time for thoughtful listening, and an openness to explore alternative health treatments to compliment standard medical practice is an important part of her practice.

Meredith is nationally certified as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) through the American Nurses’ Credentialing Center (ANCC) The ANCC is a nursing credentialing and certifying organization responsible for maintaining a national standard for Nurse Practitioners.

Meredith has been co-director of Camp Chrysalis, a camp for children and their families affected by HIV/AIDS in the state of Maine, since 1990. She believes that sharing the journey and helping provide the information that patients need about their diagnoses is an essential part of any healing practice.  Meredith is happy to join Hope Health in their mission to provide holistic, patient centered care.

Jennifer Bell, FNP - Owner.   Jennifer is presently on an extended leave as she and her family have moved to Hawaii.  Jennifer is still involved with the business of Hope Health but is not currently providing any patient care.
